If you’d like to work on the 2024 Presidential Primary Election and make a little extra money, the Orange County Registrar of Voters has open seasonal positions.

Open positions include:

  • Election Representatives, including Vote Center Employees, to assist voters, serve in the public or Vote Center employee phone bank, assist with general election administration duties and process ballots.
  • Staff assistants to lead the training for our Vote Center Employees each election.
  • Election Workers that receive and distribute supplies, ensure all mail is processed correctly, and make certain that all voting equipment is functional and properly delivered.
  • Data Entry Technicians to process voter applications.
  • Scanning Technicians to support our ballot scanning operations.

Fast Facts: What does a Vote Center Worker Do?

Vote Centers are Orange County’s full-service, one-stop locations for all things voting, enabling voters to solve voter registration issues, register to vote, get a replacement ballot, and get general assistance. For the 2024 Presidential Primary Election on March 5, there will be more than 180 Vote Centers throughout the county, some opening 10 days prior to Election Day.

The Orange County Registrar of Voters is looking for dependable people to work at one of our Vote Centers, providing customer service for current and prospective voters. Pay starts at more than $20 an hour. If you’re interested, visit ocgov.com/jobs and search the term “Elections.”

Just a friendly reminder that election workers are people just like you, your friends and neighbors. More than 1,000 Orange County residents will help members of our community vote during the days leading up to Election Day on March 5, 2024.

They provide customer service support at our Voter Centers, ensure that all mail is processed correctly, make certain that all voting equipment is functional and properly delivered. Plus, election aides review ballots and election results.

About the Voter’s Choice Act: Vote by Mail or at a Vote Center

Did you know that the Voter’s Choice Act allows Orange County voters to choose how they want to vote? All registered voters will receive a ballot by mail that can be returned by dropping it off at one of our secure drop boxes, bringing it to a Vote Center or sending it via the U.S. Postal Service. You can also vote in person.

We’re less than 4 months away from the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election.  

Make sure that you are registered to vote and that your name and address are up to date: https://ocvote.gov/registration/register-to-vote

You should register to vote at least 15 days prior to the election. However, if you miss it, conditional voter registration enables you to register and vote provisionally 14 days prior to an election and on Election Day. ocvote.gov/faqs/registration-faqs
